The limits, stated first

Nothing here is legal advice and reading it creates no attorney-client relationship. Deadlines, comparative fault rules and lien law differ in all 50 United States jurisdictions, and only a licensed attorney in your state can tell you how they apply to your claim.

How we make money, stated plainly

When you send an enquiry we pass it to exactly 1 independent local attorney anywhere in the United States, and they pay us a flat monthly fee for the introductions. Never shared with several, never sold to a lead broker.

What we do not know

• Your state's exact deadline and whether any notice period applies
• Whether fault is disputed
• What your medical picture will look like in six months

Fee structures on this site are compiled from published fee agreements and state bar guidance across more than 10 United States jurisdictions and are general, not specific to your claim.

Statutes of limitation for injury claims across the United States run from 1 year in a small number of states to 6 years in others, with 2 and 3 years being by far the most common, and separate notice periods of 60 to 180 days applying to claims against public bodies.
